The thing about this conspiracy is its plausibility. But other than speculation about the difference in their educations and the possibility that Bacon wrote the plays we probably won't ever know.

You are correct. I can´t remember right now if I listened to it on some radio talk show or whatever, apparently Cervantes did not write Rinconete y Cortadillo, nor he spent the time they say he did imprisoned at some jail here in Sevilla. I don´t know, those things are really hard to prove, especially when they deal with national treasures from some country. But I´ve always thought something smelled bad with these two writers.
