Well, if we're going to quote Rumsfeld as the absolute truth, let's look at what he says.

He accuses terrorists who suicide bomb and behead infedels of shooting down the plane in Pennsylvania.
So that's the new "truth"?

One group of islamic terrorists shot down flight 93, which was hijacked by another group of islamic terrorists?

Let's see the transcript. I heard it at the time and don't recall him suggesting that it was terrorists who shot down Flight 93. If you actually quoted you might even have got "infidels" right.

That's not the speech that I heard him deliver when the press questioned him about Flight 93 being shot down. President Bush also claimed he saw the first plane hit the WTC (a day before ANYONE saw it). The quality of civil servants seems to have hit rock bottom.

Bush said he saw on tv that a plane hit wtc1. He probably meant to say that he saw that a plane had hit wtc1. Not that he saw it hit in real time.

But maybe you're right. I mean, Bush is as articulate as they come. He never ever ever makes errors in his speech.

Just for the record, I was being facetious in my last post.

Like Bush, it's easy to tell when Rumsfeld is fabricating--it's when his lips are moving.

As far as I can tell, everything he ever said was propaganda and misinformation.

I'm the one saying that we don't know what he meant. He's so inarticulate that we can't tell for sure what he meant.

Is he saying he saw an actual video of a plane hitting wtc1? Or is he saying that he saw a plane had hit wtc1? You could draw either conclusion from what he said.
