I have seen many aluminum aircraft versus steel support columns in aircraft hangars for something around 40 years now, and I have NEVER seen aluminum prevail over the steel. Steel wins every time, and if the the laws of physics were operating that day in Manhattan, it prevailed that day too.

You've never read about the passenger lists?

It's kinda funny, really.

The collapse of the buildings were so symmetrical that they fell at the rate of free fall. How's that? They fell as straight down as would have a billiard ball released from the top floor. That works out to 90 degrees to the surface.

Airplanes are not 100% aluminum.

But also, it's about momentum.

The laws of physics which you have repeatingly demostrated that you do not understand, do not require aluminum to "win" over steel in the case of the WTC airliner collisions. Do you not realize that the collision energy of those planes equalled or exceeded a 2000 pound bomb exploding? And that such a bomb would blow a big hole in steel columns?

Have you no reading comprehension whatsoever? The initiation of the collapse was not symmetrical. Once the first damaged floors failed the dynamic load on the floors below was well beyond their capacity and they collapsed at near free fall rates.

If you understood physics at all you'd realize that when several hundred thousand tons of steel and concrete start to collapse they want to go straight down, it's something we call gravity.

But the new railguns the Navy is prepping for sea trials, use aluminum projectiles. Those things will cut through steel, concrete, rock & pretty much everything else they hit. Speed, mass & momentum play signifigant roles here...
