The jet fuel didn't melt the steel cored building. What created that pyroclastic dust was once again kinetic energy! If you calculate the gravitational potiental energy of those massive buildings stretching 1360 feet up, it is equivlant to a couple hundred 2000 pound bombs, more than 1% of the energy released by the atomic bomb that devistated the city of Hiroshima.
