So how do press reports that erroneously claim that a lot of the calls were from cell phones contradict the 9/11 Commission Report?

The press regularly gets details like that wrong.

TC, it is just like when the "news" will blare out that someone is alledgedly guilty of a crime but when the facts are known and they are exonerated the "news" will bury it in the back pages, that is if they acknowledge their
mistake at all.

In the Globe & Mail they did this with the revelation that the Bush Administration had fibbed their way into Iraq. Beating the drums was front page banner material but the later owning up was buried at the bottom of an interior page in miniscule text with a low key heading.
