My first novel is called The Church, having a human sacrifice twist among the twists.
I've never even been to the top of Vulcan. Isn't that crazy? I used to live very near it too. 5 points is a neat area. When were you here? They had the Vulcan statue down for almost a year redoing it. Wonder Butt just isn't the same - they covered his butt.

Blew my knee out in '92, LSU sent me to have surgery and rehab @ UAB. Dr. Brown does fantastic work but some of his nurses do even better.

Time was end of '92 early '93; about this time of year actually. The injury happened a few months earlier and I tried just rehabbing for fear of surgery and the end of my silly dream at the time.

That's rough. My younger brother's (Army Airborne) has blown out his knee 3 times and had surgery 3 times. No more jumping out of planes for him. Yippee! Perfect timing too, cause the last time was a month before his unit shipped out to Iraq. My sister and I were all ready with our cat burgerler suits to sneak into his house with a baseball bat, but he messed it up himself skiing.

Don't you remember Vulcan's nice shiny butt? When they refurbished the statue they covered his butt.

I've got a few choice photos of that butt and, um... we'll leave it at that until I can find the photos and scan them.

About your' bro. I was 7th Bat 158th (Hook 'em!) Reserves while at LSU. It was a bitch getting up to North'ish Texas at times but I got out of a lot of weekends to due to baseball. I'm betting he put in some time @ Hood also.

He's at Ft. Rich, Alaska now, but he was at Ft. Bragg, Ft. Benning, and Ft. Riley.

After boot camp in San Antonio, I was stationed at Sheppard AFB and Grand Forks AFB.

You went to LSU?!? You probably know my hometown then, Ocean Springs, MS.

Yes I do know Ocean Springs. Did you make it over to Gulf Shores much? Everyone I tell to go there for a cheaper vacation thinks I"m crazy until they go. Now I have clients who've purchased property there; i.e. free places to stay.

Yeah, Gulf Shores is great! And Destin Beach is one of the best beaches in the country. I've gone to Orange Beach and Sea Side a lot in the last several years, but I spent most of my beach bumbing growing up on O.S. Beach and out at the Islands (Horn, Ship, etc.).
