i've had the privilege of reading the onion since it's inception in '88 when it began in madison, and knew a lot of the people who started it.
and back "in the day", i had the "honor" of being the not-so-proud mother of one of their prestigious "drunk of the week" recipients... (that was before the city made them stop giving the award.) trust me, there's nothing quite like opening a paper and seeing a big picture of your son puking into his shirt pocket!
