The good news continues: his x-ray was clear!

His heart didn't look enlarged and his other organs looked good...lungs showed no white tell-tell signs of cancer! Yay! The vet won't be testing the lymph nodes because they are not enlarged - since the method to do this is using a needle to drain them, he said he wasn't going to poke what he couldn't feel. I have to take Sam back in three months for a checkup but if he shows any sickness before then I need to call.

Right now, the vet considers Sam a success story. Another tumor may grow again but the division rate of the other one was slow, so hopefully it won't change MO's and it can be caught sooner. I'm going to ask about having a blood panel done next time. Sam seemed to enjoy his puppy food this evening but aspirin I'm going to have to hide in yogurt - cherry flavor doesn't impress him. I'm also going to call later this week and see if they found out anything else from the pathologist.

Thanks for updating us..and can't wait to see what you hear from the pathologist..then we can all finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Such happy news, and right before Christmas! It's a gift, or at least that's how I look at it, from you-know-who.

Good job Sammy and Farra. Keep up the healing and we will keep up the loving thoughts for your continued full recovery.
