I was thinking to dump this into religion, but thought it more fitting here [ducks the Ericgtr schythe].

Watching this comercial [not sure what they were pimping] I thought about the immortal- and infamous, fruitcake people give that no one wants, and the idea of pasing it along to others who likewise don't want it, to eventually find its way to the original giver. It's a metaphore for those psycho zombie killers [Jason, Michael Myers, et al] than just never seems to die. It's such a horror of the hollidays that maybe it should be bumped to Halloween instead.

I could never get over the smell of a fruitcake let alone the taste. But I know what Heretic means about the "passing" of the fruitcake. Is that why we call other emotional/mental people, friends, and relatives "fruitcakes?" Pass them on and let them rot. Makes sense.
