Hey girl! It's been on hold this week due to an ice storm that made traveling too dangerous. But I have an appointment tomorrow to start up again. We're supposed to get 6 inches of snow tomorrow, and I have to drive about 25 miles to get to the clinic, so I may have to postpone until Monday.

Winter weather is such great fun.

this winter's been a real BITCH, so far!
my back just can't take all this shoveling and ice chipping.
we've been getting about two big storms a week - and lots of ice!
the snow's already so deep that i can't just push it out of the way -
i have to lift it waaay up and over the piles, and that's what's getting me!

i LOVE winter and snow, so i hate to complain.
and if it weren't for this piece of shit that i call my back, i wouldn't!

Ok. Here I am, opening my mouth and inserting my foot. I'm such an ass sometimes (well, probably most of the time). Sorry Cosmic. I can understand not attending to health needs without insurance. Do they have any county health clinics in your area? Here, they have several locations where a person can go and it costs little or nothing to see the doc or nurse practitioner + medicine.

i didn't JUST tear the scabs off, i ripped the punctures wide open down to their deepest point!

the scabs part didn't bother me, it was ripping the skin and muscle open, and then scrubbing them HARD with antibiotic soap and a scratch pad that took me to my knees.

but if you don't have insurance and you know you have something life threatening going on, you find the strength somehow to do what you gotta do. it was kind of like cutting a snake bite and sucking out the venom!

if the county health clinics are anything like they are around here, you have to be 90% dead to get in without waiting three months for an appointment.

Your poor back...I know it's horribly painful to have back trouble. BE CAREFUL SHOVELING!! Where's a boy scout when you need 'em?

I like snow when I'm on the inside looking out, mostly. It's beautiful, but I'm getting old and crabby, so I gotta have something to gripe about. lol.

I think all a person has to do is show up, but I could be wrong. I'll have to check that out....

I'll bet there are other free clinics in his area though. Cosmic, get out the phone book dear.
