It's 3:31pm if I hurry I could go to the Museum of Fine Arts there's a great jewelry by artist exhibition this month, along with a fantastic collection of art.

Hmmm I need to pursue an education........lemee think what sort of prestigious institute could I attend? Harvard, MIT, Wellesley, BC, BU, Tufts, NorthEastern, Berkeley School of Music.

What if I wanted to send a child to the best possible school? I'd probably need to close to one of these two schools: Phillips Andover and Lawrence Academy

Geez I dont' feel too good, where will my doctor send me? I dunno.... let's see what's to choose from: Beth Israel Deaconess, Brigham's and Womans, Tufts NewEngland Medical Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Mass General,

Dammit I just check the BSO schedule Yo Yo Ma was here this month and I missed him. But after the holiday Pops schedule (which is nice to attend too) there's a Strauss and Mussorgsky performance.

Too stuffy? The Dresden Dolls are performing at the Orpheaum Theater on Dec.29th.

The Street Dogs are at the Roxy next week, that would be cool.

Or maybe I'll go see BlueMan Group at the Charles Playhouse before they move to Vegas permanently .

Links so you can intellectually salivate, you poor bastards:

People don't live here because of the weather, they live here despite of it. That's how awesome it is to live here.

I take it for granted sometimes till I read a post like yours.

Maybe I'll just go hang out at Faneuil Hall tonight.

Well my goodness! Alabama sucks in a thousand different ways.

And about 2 min. ago it started pouring down rain, somehow I think it's all your fault.

Such a tease....

goin' shrimping

I got an invite to do some night shrimp boat fishing in the Gulf Monday night.

I've never been on a shrimp boat - just lot's of cruisers, and fishing vessels.

should be fun. I'm packing rum to make sure it is.

Finally cooling down here in Orlando; down in the 60's tomorrow.

I woke up to a metric ton of snow, and the weather channel says more snow, ice, freezing rain and sleet is due overnight for counties around Cincinnati. It appears that we'll be missed by the brunt of it but we can still expect a good couple more inches in the morning....Yay.

No doubt Boston has a lot od cultural activities.

I went wih a girl up there for almost 3 years, and loved to go to the theater district
( she worked the Wang, Charles St. and Orpheum part time), and liked the shows - of course i got in free since she worked there..

Went to that old house with the garden inside, and the Boston Museums.

I grew up near D.C., and spent lots of time in the Smithsonian, and various digs around that town too.

And now in my 50's I prefer Florida, as the weather up north is just awful.
I've become "Floridave" and I like the tropics - you never get tired of the foliage down here, and I LOVE the beaches.

So each region has its good points, and i'm greatful i got to experience them both.

My dad was stationed in D.C. when I was little, but I don't think really remember any of it - just seen a lot of pictures. I'm with you though, I'll take having my feet in the hot sand over culture any day of the week. I miss the beach so much.

thank GOD!!!!! maybe my back will calm down before the next storm hits!

now all i have to do is work on ice! the snow's been melting off the roof, (but there's still about 8" of it up there,) and dripping on my walks, and building up a very thick, very treacherous, sheet of ice - not to mention completely covering all my bird feeders. looks like i'll be chopping instead of shoveling THIS weekend. but if i work at it just a few minutes at a time, maybe i can clean it all up by monday without messing up my back further?
lol..I missed that you had started this.

Ok..in central Iowa today it snowed a couple inches and it's been 10-20 degrees all day.
the snow isn't a big deal, but the problem is...the ice hasnt melted from the ice storm

parking lots still are, and I mean this quite literally...ice-skating rinks.

I am at work this weekend, so I got to turn my heat down to 58 degrees, that will save me a little money.

Yes, but it's beneath the snow. I shoveled a little bit til I felt ice. I'm scared to do too much you know? I didn't get out of breath at all, but..I went into the house anyway, why push it? When I glanced out my window, my nice young neighbor on my left was snow blowing the sidewalk and my neighbor across the street came over and snow blowed where the mailbox is and my car. The city snow grader had come by a few minutes before and blocked me in with snow
