truthfully, cats instinctively like water...it comes from their genetics connecting them to the larger breeds, we've domesticated them so much they don't have much of a choice except to balk...however, it boils down to how the introduction is made, for my cat he accidentally fell in the tub, since i didn't freak out (though i had to run the bath again), he didn't freak out...it's like that with just about everything in life, your action(s) can produce similar reaction(s) and vice versa...

i bet if you guys plugged the drain and let the tub fill up a bit, a slow introduction, your cats would take to the water in a way you never thought possible...chris, could be the solution to your bathing freak outs
