It's best to forget it because the cat doesn't care what you think and anything you say may tend to make matters worse. You have a couple of choices:
1. Put the car inside where the cat can't get to it.
2. Cover it with a tarp so the footprints are on the tarp.
3. Pretend that a car isn't complete without paw prints.

Naturally, you apologize. She looks just like my Cassandra I had 17 years before she died. Black cats are beautiful....and affectionate, mine was, anyway.

Franklin is one of the most compliant (cars notwithstanding) pets I've ever had. Friendly to a fault, if such a thing is possible.

He was raised with a dog (who damn near killed him when I brought him home.) As a result, he acts just like my dog used to.

Ever met a cat you have to vacuum AROUND??? He trusts me unconditionally. Follows me around the yard when I'm gardening...sits on the woodpile while I'm splitting wood a mere few feet away from him.

And...he always comes when I call him. Really a great companion.

Funny, he had fresh trout tonight. He does seem to have liked the old perch much better. Maybe he'll stay off the new one from now on.

That cracks me up with the cat. I've had mine for 11 years, her name is Tweak, and she still freaks and tweaks when I turn on the vacume. This cat runs from the floor onto the wall like a ride at the fair! Gravity, what's that!

Yea...he's the only pet I've had that doesn't care about the vacuum.

He really doesn't care about much of anything.

His new favorite spot is on my pellet stove. It's nice and warm in the winter.

If he's laying on the stove when it's time to dump a 40 lb. bag of pellets into the hopper (behind where he lays), I have to hold the bag above him. He refuses to move, even though I'm all but laying the bag right on top of him.

Good to see your mood changed tonight!

Vacuum is too damn loud. I run from the floor to the wall myself when i hear it. But, unlike cats, gravity seems to like me

one of my cats sits beside me watching with great interest while i'm using my table and mitre saws.
i've made a little platform with a cushion to watch from.
she's fascinated with drills, and noisey tools in general.

and i used to have a 30 lb cat that enjoyed BEING vacuumed!
she'd come running when she heard the vacuum -
and keep flopping onto her back (in my way) until i'd unhook the hose and vacuum her belly with it. she just loved it!
