Man. I hope I never see a titty.

See? That´s why sunday school is so important when you´re a kid. Jeeze, where´s Michael Landon when we need him?

As long as you stay online, you should be safe. They keep it pretty tame, because lots of the kids are using it these days.

I got caught up in that goofy 'gay-nature/nurture' debate thread. Here's a more interesting question to me:

Do guys like this lose it and commit these crimes, because they've repressed their sexual urges? Or do they push so hard for sexual repression, because they're battling their urges?

Depends on their childhood. The most dangerously out of hand kids I knew growing up were the ones who came from religious families. It seemed the more they were told not to this or that the more they wanted to.

When people are taught that the natural feelings inside are in fact unnatural and evil they tend to think less of themselves. The repression of these feelings along with a self-hatred for having these feelings leads them to push for repression outwardly because they are battling their urges.

I'm hip. I was raised catholic, so I know from shame. But I think for most of us, the first time we say 'God damn it', and we don't get cleaved in two by lightening, we tend to put things in perspective.
Like, it's not catholicism that promotes pedophilia, it's celibacy. The willful misunderstanding of your own nature.

Exactly but I have known a few kids who's parents were religious to the extreme. Constantly being yelled at for normal childhood behavior. Using God as a tool to justify unjustifiable punishments.

In fact I wonder how many of these sexually repressed offenders were created by the very thing that was meant to make them a better person in the eyes of God.
