My friends feed the deer, which is a bad idea...

They come right up to him, and eat out of his hand. More so when they're very young. If he doesn't get out there early enough, they peek in his windows.


Squirrels are certainly stalkable. My cat got a few, but I believe one of them threw a pretty good beating on him. He isn't so quick to chase them anymore, but he definitely shows an interest.

The only time one of my cats got squirrel was when a nest tipped over and the gerbil sized babies fell all over the lawn. They are truly poor examples of the species.

Being a new DVR owner, this morning with the ducks I ran for the camera and hurried back to start filming...then thought, "...these are ducks." and put it away.

I thought about that too. That's what makes that a great video. First you can laugh because the deer is kicking the hunter's ass, then you can laugh again when you think about how his friend just kept filming without question, zooming in and out, composing the shot, framing the action. With friends like that...
