Hi yall, sorry I've been MIA but that's better than DOA right? I've been fine, Tho~ I did give birth to a bouncing baby ulcer! Several days in the fetal position eating potato soup...lost 20 lbs. Fuck me to tears those things are fucking nasty man. I got blood test done and it looks like I may live....goddammit man! I am from the "hope I die before I get old" generation....so I am 50 now and on my 4th granted 5 year extension....

Heading to Dallas to see the man...Roger Waters is performing Dark Side of the Moon live....finally getting to see the missing link! Saw Rush last Saturday night and Bruce Springsteen a week before in Dallas, got Yes and Tom Petty/Steve Winwood later on. I figure as long as I have a concert to go to I will always live...slowly running out of acts eh? As long as these geezers rock I will continue to roll.

Thanks Cookie, that welcome back means a lot to me......It's healing and I am back to eating more...I just choose to avoid anything that may piss the ulcer off.......they wanted to probe me but I insisted on the meds to try first and they (so far) have been great.

I saw Springsteen last fall, and I'm getting Allman Bros. tix this week. I'll be spittin distance from the stage. Can't wait to see Warren again...been a while.


Going to a midnight ramble at the end of the month in Woodstock. Levon Helm has a barn up there, and it's quite a hoedown from what I hear.

Met Levon Helm..I think you recall... sounds great, a barn?, is he still doing the Barnburners gig? Well obviously it being a barn thing...The lead singer is an ex-Marine (like me) and we were screaming UH-RAH and Semper Fi so loudly it scared the crap out of the groupie down the hall... (at BB Kings' place) ENJOY! He'd remember me...I doubt Levon would, we were all pretty wasted....he's a very cool person.

He calls them Rambles now...probably since his barn burned down....


I'm thinking about heading up there to barter some of my time, in exchange for some music. The Rambles cost $150.00/person, which is way out of my budget. I like the fact that the money goes directly to Levon...who needs it desperately these days.

So, I paid for this one, and I'm told he's up for bartering. His office mgr. told me there's always something that needs to be done around there, so I'll pack up the tools, and take a ride up.
