Ok, it's not dinner, but I'll start...
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies 1 cup butter (softened) 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar (or Splenda) 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/2 cups wheat flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt (or a bit less) 1 tsp cinnamon 1/8 tsp nutmeg 2 1/2 to 3 cups oatmeal (3 will make the batter seem very dry; it's ok, but the cookies will be very dense. I like it at about 2 1/2. It's a preference, really.) 1/2 to 3/4 bag semi-sweet *chocolate chips (When I double this, one bag works fine. When I don't double it, I find the whole bag is too much.) Mix butter, sugars, egg and vanilla well. Mix dry ingredients very thoroughly and add slowly to the wet mixture. Fold in chocolate chips last. Bake for 12 minutes at 350. If you use butter to grease the cookie sheet, these will have a nice, crisp, buttery crunch to them. * I love Trader Joe's chocolate chips! Nestle chocolate chunks (bigger than the chips) are my 2nd choice. |

Seeing that I run a cooking forum I'd better contribute huh?
![]() Cloud Seafood Chowder 1 46 oz. V8 Cocktail 1 large can chopped tomatoes 3 fish backs (preferable Grouper) (They are for sauce flavor and will be removed) 1 1/2 pounds fish, deboned (Grouper or Snapper is best) 1 pound med. shrimp, peeled 1/2 c. oil 1 lg onion, chopped 1/2 Bell Pepper, chopped 3 stalks celery, chopped 2 cloves garlic, chopped 2 Bay leaves 1 tsp Thyme 1 tsp. Basil 1/2-1 tsp. Cayenne pepper (to taste) 3-4 dashes Tabasco sauce 1 Tbsp. sugar salt & pepper to taste Cook the backs in the V8 until tender and remove backs. Reserve the V8 for recipe (I feed the backs to the cats 'cause they are so boney...but boy howdy what flavor they add to the base!) *Sautee veggies in oil until tender, drain. *If you want low fat simply skip this step and toss all ingredients together and cook. Mix all ingredients except for shrimp and cook for 1 hour. Add the shrimp and cook 20 mins more. Taste and adjust flavor for spice. (I like it zesty, but you may not) (It's an old family recipe) |

I took the chicken salad recipe to my office after our holiday festivities to make copies for a couple of people and I don't think I brought my copy home.
![]() Now I'm going to have to look through that giant folder in my desk of important stuff I don't want to lose. Dammit! I've been trying to avoid that folder, it's like homework. It is really good chicken salad, though. |

Not really. And i'd be scared if it was - i run everything you say through urban dictionary now, and meatloaf is in there. ![]() Anyway, no, it's not Urban meatloaf, and not a real one. I break up the ground beef in small chunks and fry it with onions and mushrooms.
