Love Leon. His voice is like coming home to me.

Rickie Lee Jones has always reminded me of a female version of my guy Tom Waits. He's an aquired taste but I can't get enough.

We must have the same record collection....I found Waits as a kid, when I realized he wrote "Old 55"....

I've got a few from this guy....I keep him and Elvis (the great one...Costello) next to each other on the shelf.

I went to see Waits in a small bar in Chicago back in the 70's. Little place called The Quiet Knight, small room upstairs, bathrooms downstairs. We arrive half hour before the show, I walk downstairs to the bathrooms with my date and there's Waits sitting on a chair outside the mens room, leaning back on two legs, all alone just humming and scatting to himself. This was back in the Nighthawks days, he was just getting started.

Do you have the 3 disk Orphans set? If you don't drop what you're doing and go get it right now. The BEST EVER, I swear. My daughter bought it for me a year ago Christmas and I kid you not those three disks did not leave the player for three straight months. I never got tired of it, can't say enough good things about that one.

I've been into a YouTube craze here, you think of a song and bango, someone has posted it. Here's an oldie but goodie.

Ahh yes... couldn't get enough of this one... humping the side of the TV when ever it came on....

....did I just say that out loud?

Richard Emanuel...gone too soon.

I can listen to his voice all day.

Going to see Levon w/Wayside, in Woodstock in a couple of weeks...can't wait.

This one goes out to my former neighbor and former ex-con, Uncle Jack.

Here's to your two month venture into the free world, and to hoping you have a nice view that isn't blocked by too many bars.
