Anyone know about bonds?
I found a few German WW1 bonds in my father's possessions and can't find any info on them. Does anyone know where I can?

I googled it, and came up with lots of sites, but here's one in which a bond is being offered for sale. Pictures, front and back are included...

I did the same and got what you got, and those are not what I got. They are actual bonds issued by Munich, Germany and a few other cities in Germany issued in 1916-1924. Numerous denominations. I'm gonna assume they are WW1 war bonds.

It's possible, but I'm going to research these as much as I can before anything happens. Gotta do the smart move on my part.

If these are municipal bonds, issued by a city, they should still be good, and should pay the face plus 80+ years interest. My advice. Call a broker house.

Bonds that have make coupon payments(usually semianual) will pay a stated percentage of the face value and ideally(not usually though) the bond sells for it's face value. So in this case if the % was 7% and the life was 10 yrs again it would sell for $1000, make $35 payments every 6 months and then you would get your $1000 back at the end of the 10 year period btw...municipal bonds are the most risky...
