But then again they could make a martyr out of her.

Even from a McCain/Palin supporter

Conservative columnist urges Palin to drop out

Kathleen Parker, a conservative syndicated columnist, dropped a bomb on the movement Friday morning in a National Review article headlined “Palin Problem: She’s out of her league.” “It was fun while it lasted,” Parker writes, before reluctantly calling on Sarah Palin to step down from the Republican ticket for the good of the country.

What to do?

McCain can’t repudiate his choice for running mate. He not only risks the wrath of the GOP’s unforgiving base, but he invites others to second-guess his executive decision-making ability. Barack Obama faces the same problem with Biden.

Only Palin can save McCain, her party, and the country she loves. She can bow out for personal reasons, perhaps because she wants to spend more time with her newborn. No one would criticize a mother who puts her family first.

Do it for your country.

lol..."Barrack Obama faces the same problem with Biden"? !!!!!

If the conservative columnist is talking about Hiliary, that ship has sailed. Anyone Hiliary supporter who is going to vote for McCain was a republican anyway

Obama's numbers are climbing again with women

60% of Americans think Biden is ready to be President, 40%(republican dead enders, same crowd that thinks Bush is doing a good job)... think Palin is ready

I do commend the conservative writer for actually telling the truth (mostly the truth), about Palin

Here's the real truth...Palin isn't smart or sane enough to be the governor of Alaska

Jeez, I´d love to know how many times the word "Palin" has been typed here since August 29th. Don´t you ever get tired?

oh jeez...check out this answer for couric, i knew it was bad, but had no idea it was catastrophic:

COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families who are struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? Allow them to spend more, and put more money into the economy, instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?

PALIN: That’s why I say I, like every American I’m speaking with, we’re ill about this position that we have been put in. Where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up our economy. Um, helping, oh, it’s got to be about job creation, too. Shoring up our economy, and putting it back on the right track. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions, and tax relief for Americans, and trade — we have got to see trade as opportunity, not as, uh, competitive, um, scary thing, but one in five jobs created in the trade sector today. We’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. All of those things under the umbrella of job creation.

yep, it's a scary thing indeed

Has she removed herself from her stance of threatening the well being of my nation yet?

Seems ironic that the same people who piss and moan about the need to be diligent to protect America from the threats to it's security and democracy squeal like pigs (with lipstick if you go that way) when REAL Americans are diligent about the very real threats to the fiber of this nation!

Stupidity, ignorance, and a distain for the core principles of this country are CERTAINLY more of a threat to everything that my nation symbolizes and cherishes than ghost WMD's or anything that those in the middle east do to each other or israel!

Choosing a Pit Pig with a flag pin for VP was a cut and run from all that has made American great!

Has anyone else considered that maybe (likely) McCain was not bright enough to discern the difference?

I think they need to be careful about this. As it is the bar has been pretty much lowered to the ground and if she even remotely pulls off a couple of good points it could send her sailing. However, Biden has been playing it down saying that he's not concerned with debating against her as much as he is establishing a relationship with Americans and spreading his message. He said he thinks she will do well. Smart move on his part.
