People are starting to feel sorry fer her, even liberals. It is sad, this woman is being thrust into an environment she is no where near prepared for.

Yeah, I feel sorry for her too. But I would still like to see Biden say "Sarah you ignorant Slut!" when she talks about being able to see Russia from her house. Would that be over the top?

i just read an article that named all the right wingers (a quickly growing number!) that are now speaking out on palin's incompetence and mccain's irrational choice... calling it a pity fest. but right wing writer who penned the column was unsympathetic. calling sympathy for a person who orchestrates a train wreck unwarranted and undeserved.

she blamed mc cain for his stupidity, when he could have picked a woman like olympia snow, etc. if he wanted a woman running mate, and blamed palin herself for her arrogance and thoughtless decision to accept the VP slot, by thinking for even a nano-second that she was up to the task.

it now appears the right is in the process of reconciling itself to the idea that mc cain is going to get trounced, and trounced badly.

the voters are still somewhat enthusiastic, but that, too, is starting to crumble.
the debate will be key.
if she flubs it, they're toast immediately.
if she limps through it, it may buy them a little time.
but very little optimism.

to be honest, i'm more worried that biden will blow it in the debate than palin by saying something really fucking dumb, as he's been proven to do so consistently. when he gets cocky, he fucks up. and with everyone expecting palin to make an ass of herself, i'm worried he'll go into to it too confident.

Yeah, Joe has got to keep is cool and not say anything stupid. Its not likely Palin can hide her ignorance in the debate. Let her hang herself. Hopefully Biden will have a few well scripted remarks designed to give her a little more rope, just incase the moderator isn't giving her enough.

precisely....there is no room for pity in politics and mccain/palin brought all of this upon themselves by being arrogant and stupid...they get no pity from me and, i hope, none from biden either

Thursday just cannot get here fast enough. I feel like this is a huge moment in the election, more so then the presidential debate.

When Republicans and Independents watched the presidential debate they could forget all about Palin like perhaps it was all a bad dream but when she is up there, in front of the country for the first time, they will not be able to escape the nightmare that is Palin in the white house.

Yeah, Thursday should be very interesting, lol.

One of the commentators on CNN remarked that no one is expecting much from her, and if she doesn't make any super-flubs she will at least not have lost the debate.

Can you imagine anything more pathetic than lowering the bar for a "challenged" candidate?

They didn't do it for Dan Quayle.

What kind of kid-glove, suzy cream cheese thing is this?

This has got to be one of the silliest elections ever!

Thx

I'll save my pity for those families of MIA vets who wanted the records of their presumably departed sons unsealed and McCain refused to listen to their requests to placate the Vietnamese government during the diplomatic normalization process with the US. I'll save my pity for McCain's adopted daughter, whom he was willing to throw under the bus by making nice with Karl Rove, the scumbag who helped spread the rumor that she was the product of a relationship between McCain and a Black prostitute. I'll save my sympathy for the first wife he ditched like an old shoe because a horrible car accident crippled her. I'll save my pity for Sara Palin's pregnant seventeen year old daugher and the dunce who knocked her up, since they're being forced into a doomed marriage that will unbalance the trajectory of their lives before they're old enough to fucking drink! I'll save my pity for all the unwanted pregnancies that will result because of Palin's advocacy of abstinence only sex education. And most importantly, I'll save my sympathy for all the Americans and Iraqis who have and will continue to die in the baseless war that these two yahoos support with ghoulish enthusiasm.

It's like an episode from the twilight zone. "Imagine if you will a world completely controlled by morons and unqualified leaders. Now wake up and realize, it's not a dream."
