Smile Republican Rehab

Republican Rehab

For those of you disappointed with your party, register to vote and change party affliation for the primaries.

Party heads watch very closely registration counts.

Coulter's Book Flops

Crains New York Matthew Flamm December 17, 2007

The latest tome by right-wing scribe Ann Coulter, If Democrats Had Any Brains They'd Be Republicans, hasn't caught fire with book buyers.

The title spent just four weeks on The New York Times' best-seller list--compared with 12 for her previous book--and has sold 97,000 copies in the last 10 weeks, according to Nielsen BookScan, which tracks about 70% of the market.

I just changed my party affiliation to Republican to vote for Ron Paul in my state's primary. Any Republicans disappointed with their party just have to vote for Ron Paul. It's really simple. This is an easy election year for disaffected Republicans AND Democrats.

Maybe the party goals are out of touch with the voters.

Being an independent I don't get to vote in any primary.

While I like Paul for his Constitutionalism, his abortion and a few other stands have me worried.

I am a social liberal, and a fiscal conservative. If the governemnt has to spend money it should be for defense (parsimoniously spent) and for human services. For the betterment of society, NOT to make campaign contributors richer.

there is only one way to fix government nowadays. Remove all money from the election process and the legislative process. Make the acceptance of any Lobbyist money for anything, even a stick of gum, a treasonous act punishable by death! Immediate death.

Can't help wondering why the Reps seem gung ho about no one in particular, except for Ron Paul supporters.

I don't wonder at all. Look at their choices...

I guess there is no such thing as a progressive republican.

Republicans cannot want to possibly continue the current status quo?

Wonder no more.

Rudy is simply NOT what most of the nation thinks he is.

Romney is simply NOT what he's trying to convince people he is.

McCain's "straight talk" has proven itself to be less than that.

Huckabee is getting some scrutinany that shows he's a liar.

comparitively speaking, the dems have a much better field of candidates.

There's a lot less difference between the democratic candidates and each other than there is between any of the dems and all the republicans.

It's entirly possible that Paul will benefit from all the major republicans self destructing.

I like Paul only for his constitutionalism. But he is unrealistic about it.

There are parts of Paul I agree with and parts that scare me. He would deregulate everything, and we've been there and done that.
