I promise, if something like that happens, I'll be all over it.

It is probably best that the Lakotas go ahead and w/draw the treaties. They are getting nothing from the U.S. govt. that other Native Peoples have received because they have been extremely hostile towards govt. health care workers anyway.
The U.S. Public Health Service just can't find health care workers to stay for sometimes even more than 2 months. Health care workers simply can't take the hostile treatment they get. The Lakotas are entitled to free health care, and they have literally spit in the face of the people who have been there, overworked and underpaid to begin with. Their culture seems to just not want help from the govt., so let them go.

Speaking of Indians, I have read and I have been told that the cult-like Skull & Bones Society, of which Father/Son Bush are distinguished members, stole Geronimo's skull and have it secreted away...perhaps in that creepy mausoleum vault those idiosyncratic Ivy Leaguers maintain.

If this is true, I REALLY think that Geronimo's skull should be returned to Geronimo's people, lest the people of Skullery Boner types find THEIR loved ones' graves robbed or desecrated.

I have also heard there is bad karma for dicking around with holy burial stuff.

I have old friends who are very close to and have worked with John Kerry for a long time. If I remember next time I head to their house for a clam bake, I'll see if they will ask Senator Kerry about the skull. Although, given the nature of 'Skull and Bones', I'm sure he will play demure.

Ohh bullshit! If they're getting free healthcare it's clear they're getting what they pay for, because their quality of health and life expectancy on the reservation is as low as many third world countries.

Probably another U.S. violation of treaty.

Geronimo was Chiricahua Apache, not Lakota.

Perhaps they'll band together, declare war on the US, lose, then collect foreign aid.

Or it might turn out like "The Mouse that Roared."

All Native Americans are entitled to health care by the U.S. Public Health Service (U.S.P.H.S.) if they live in a designated area, not necessarily an Indian reservation although all that live on reservations are entitled to the service. The health care is not free, it is paid for by our taxes.
Some Native villages and tribes choose to take advantage of their relationship with the govt. and not only get great medical care, but the Native Corporations make out quit well financially.
There are tribes or villages that are very hostile to what the U.S.P.H.S. and the govt. have to offer, and get virtually no benefit from it. When they literally chase away health care workers, there are none, and consequently their quality of health and life expectancy decrease.
I worked in Metlakatla, AK years ago, was treated as one them , as were the other health care workers. It was a good experience and the quality of life of the Natives there wasn't bad.
Once again, those tribes that do not want, nor will take advantage of what the U.S. govt. has to offer may as well go their own way. I can promise you this... their quality of life will not improve.
You really should reserve your opinions to subjects you actually have real knowledge about. Otherwise you leave yourself exposed.

That would be why I did not lead with, "Speaking of Lakota Indians..."

I repeat and maintain:
