Except that this bill (2001) got tied up in house-senate negotiations and never became law. The damage it could do was never done. The next bill in 2005 passed and became law. Edwards wasn't in the senate then.

On the other hand Obama voted for the Cheney energy bill AND it became law.

My thanks to Hillary was in response to how the whole thing started; that, in fact, she started it.

But, it's behind us now.

And I agree, NBC spent way too much time on it.
