ridiculous.

what a waste of resources.

I truly feel sorry for individual officers and judges who have to carry out this ridiculous monumental effort in industrial advantage.

People making money from putting people in jail. Criminals? shit. Ive met alot of pot smokers in my day. ...and I would never ever condone its use, well, except muddy.
.....anyway, the VAST MAJORITY of those people who I still know who use pot, are honest hard working and generally genuinely nice people. Now the friends of mine over the years who have fallen into alcohol, on the other hand....(whew) suffice to say, live lives a bit less mundane. (not me, m8s)

We fight and fight and fight, and yet there is no answer for the desire of people to explore themselves with substances. The only way to prevent use and ultimately addiction is through education and treatment.

Nope. throw a pothead in jail where his only outlet will be some much heavier drugs, but also where he can learn a trade. (yeah).

..dammit. cosmic, you got me on a rant. (pant-pant)

We are done with that shit. It's ridiculous...we're like some third-world free-for-all clusterfuck.

We need better screened, better educated, better trained, BETTER PAID AND PROTECTED police.
Again, here I just really have a feeling of frustration ON BEHALF of the police departments...when it comes to drug use, we're asking them to fight a fight that is simply unwinnable. (sounds painfully familiar, doesnt it?) We should revise the laws to examine drug addiction as a sickness, not a crime.

..and free up the cops to pay attention to actual criminal activity.

Well we have some pretty nice courses here and yes, lots of trees. We don't cut them down here in little liberal Austin.
