You're making that up as much as the media is making up the other soap opera drama. Obama said he didn't notice her cause he was distracted. How about we take him at his word?
The old "fairness" doctrine disappeared somewhere along the way.

True comment to Heretic, but it's better, is it not, to assume the better motive than the worse motive.

Of course, had the roles been different, he'd assume Hillary was snubbing Obama.

Have you given any thought to the "war" between these two campaigns is designed to get more voters out?

I fear you miscontrue. The media is important, and the media is the story.

It is the media who creates public opinion. When they do this by making assumptions and/or showing statements made by candidates out of context, so their meaning has changed, this is important.

I'll look for a link this AM. Suspect it'll be on you tube shortly.

It wasn't much of a video. It just caught Obama turning away as Ted Kennedy spoke to Hillary. Whole thing was only a few seconds.

It's more important, I think, to note the cordialness apparent between Hillary and Kennedy after he endorsed Obama, but I didn't hear anyone mention that.

Funny, I saw the video of the event. It followed the State of the Union.

Are you going to believe that cameras didn't follow Obama, Kennedy, and Clinton?

Kennedy and Obama were next to each other, Kennedy approached Clinton for a handshake and some cordial (appearing) comments. Obama turned away. This was followed by Obama saying he had been distracted by that lady governor (who's name escapes me at the moment), and that governor verifying she had asked him a question. She also pulled a Bill Clinton, making a comment about the media here.

As Julia pointed out, this was never caught on tape. There is only one picture.

You started this thread with misinformation (that the incident was caught on tape) and with the disingenuous claim that you are only
criticizing the media. Then when other posters defend Obama, you
start whining again that it would be different if Hillary had snubbed Obama.

Obama did not snub Hillary. And I am so proud that I do not belong to NOW, who is now reprimanding Obama for snubbing poor Hillary.

I would invite you Hillary supporters to watch C-Span when the Senate is session and just watch Hillary snub other senators. I have seen her snub Barbara Boxer twice, both times after Boxer has had the guts to ask Condoleezza Rice hard questions (during the 9/11
hearing and the Rice confirmation hearing). (Hillary, ever-conscious of her inevitable presidency, couldn't be bothered to get her hands dirty and jeopardize any future votes.)

Source: Associated Press (newser) – Forget President Bush's last hurrah, it was Barack Obama’s snub of Hillary Clinton that had the press box chattering last night, reports the Chicago Tribune. After greeting seemingly the entire room, including the Supreme Court and the Joint Chiefs, Obama was standing by his seat next to Ted Kennedy when Hillary Clinton leaned over to shake Kennedy's hand. Kennedy—despite his Obama endorsement earlier in the day—responded warmly. Obama watched icily, then turned and stepped away. • Democrats could barely conceal their eagerness to get Bush’s last State of the Union address behind them, the New York Times notes, sitting out most of the president's applause lines, and indulging in some snickering. Some chanted, “Bring them home, bring them home,” when Bush addressed the war in Iraq. “Next year we’ll have a different president, which I look forward to,” said Harry Reid.

I'm sure there is much "snubbing" but the question here was this one of them. Either the meida got it wrong; likely, or Obama's being less than honest.

Take your pick.

I take him at his word

You posted a link to one picture and have failed to acknowledge that there never was a "tape".

I would believe Obama before I would believe you.

I would like for you to go back to your snarky Affirmative Action thread and clarify for us when the incident (w/black woman w/score of 30 being promoted) occurred.

You seem to keep insisting that this horrendous gaffe of Obama's was "caught on tape". Either post a link to the videotape or quit talking about it.

It's desperation. Let the Alien- ah, sorry, keep doing that ... let the Hillary supporters get it out of their system and wind down a bit.

Good advice, I am sure.

I have seen diehard Bush supporters get more and more hysterical in their defense of him, even as 70% of the country finally understood that we had been lied into an unnecessary war.

Sadly, the bottom line here is that The Hillary will get the nomination, and next January President McCain will be inaugurated.

Don't give up on Obama just yet.
