Often innocently quoted from interviews with conservatives, these phrases reinforce associations in people's brains between peace activists and the disaster in Iraq.
"The Great Republican Talking Points-spouting Machine" is being greased and oiled as I write this, readied to spew forth its venomous attacks, ready to malignantly malign and putatively impugn other's patriotic, political and ethical motives.

That same "Machine" is and has been 100% responsible for the divisive politics in America since the days of Barry Goldwater/Spiro Agnew.
