I find this an interesting observation: 3. Content: Do not post messages that are inflammatory, extreme, divisive, incoherent, or otherwise inappropriate. Do not engage in anti-social, disruptive, or trolling behavior. Do not post broad-brush, bigoted statements. The moderators and administrators work very hard to enforce some minimal standards regarding what content is appropriate. But please remember that this is a large and diverse community that includes a broad range of opinion. People who are easily offended, or who are not accustomed to having their opinions (including deeply personal convictions) challenged may not feel entirely comfortable here. A thick skin is necessary to participate on this or any other discussion forum. |

But how the rules can be enforced is very subjective..what is inappropriate to you or I may no be to another. If you feel that a poster is breaking any of the rules feel free to use the report post function. However, I would suggest that before you do use it make sure that you have not engaged in the same behavior as the post you are reporting.(not saying either of you have, I just dropped in and this is the first page I saw.) because there is no garuntee that any action taken won't include you as well....which is why I suggest the ignore function first... I should add...that if a heated argument turns to personal insults....I would call that inappropriate...so...no personal insults. Attack the message, not the messenger. I am a democrat as well and will not vote for Hillary if she somehow manages to become the nominee. I would love to see a female president in my lifetime, but Hillary isn't the one. There are several reasons I will not vote for her.
1) She co-sponsered an anti-flag burning ammendment. I love the flag as much as anyone else, I was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. However protecting the flag by way of a law or an ammendment to the constitution takes away from the meaning of the flag. The fact that she co-sponsered this legislation tells me she just doesn't get the symbolism of freedom behind the flag. Or perhaps she was just pandering to the chickenhawks. which is worse? 2) She has not run an honorable campaign against Sen. Obama. I expect it from the republicans, not from one of our own. Some of the dirty tricks were straight out of Karl Rove's playbook. 3) When the tide started to turn against her, the fangs came out. She acts like she is completely outraged at being denied something she obviously feels she was entitled. 4) She is playing towards people's fears. We as a country have never been at our best when we have operated from a mindset of fear. This is a very cynical way treating the electorate. 5) She voted to give Bush authority to send our troops to Iraq when a little bit of knowledge about the situation there would have told her Iraq was an unlikely base for Al Queda. She followed that up with voting for a similar piece of legislation reguarding Iran! Fool me once? If Hillary Clinton becomes the Democratic nominee, I will be voting for McCain. If we as a party choose fear over hope then we deserve another 4-8 years of Bush's policies. Last edited by Mithrall; 03-04-2008 at 04:51 PM. |

And, of course, the Hill crowd is letting the thread die. (that means you're right, and they have no response)

I don't think she is going to win the nomination period. She has run a despicable campaign and I will also not vote for her. I will not vote for McCain but I will also not help her win.
I had nothing against her at the beginning of the campaign, but now I can not in good conscious vote for her. That said, Obama is going to win Tx, Vermont and RI. Tomorrow he will drop a 50 superdelegate bomb on her head and show that he made 55 million dollars in Feb. Go Obama!!! |
