what ya doing?

is anybody working on a campaign, and if so, what cha doing, and for who?

i just got a call from the obama campaign operation that's setting up in madison for the primary on the 19th. this call was from one of their advanced staging group who'd just got to town, and the rest of the operation is hitting town monday. i'd offered to help any way i can, including letting people stay at my house. unfortunately, with my back the way it is, i can't do much anymore. and with how bad my back is messed up, right now - this time, am not sure what i can even DO to help.

but the gal who called assured me that they could find something for me to do. so, i look forward to her call monday.

i accidentally ended up running the GOTV phone operation for gore here, when they discovered how much telephone marketing experience i had - the organizer was late to get there one day and i just jumped in and got everything running that night. the next thing i knew, i was put in charge. even tho that garnered me a seat on the stage behind gore for the largest democratic rally EVER (at the time), it proved to be waaaaay too much for my back.

i worked the GOTV phones as much as i could for kerry.

You seem perfectly good at using the internet. You'd think they would have, at the least, the internet equivalent of phone operators.

i'm walking out the door right now to go to the organizing meeting for obama's local volunteer operation. i will definately be doing something. like you say, if nothing else, working on his internet outbound calling operation - and maybe putting some volunteers up in my spare bedrooms. i'm jazzed!

going to his rally in madison on tues, too! (even if it kills me! which, standing in line for hours to get in, might! at least i'd die with a big smile on my face! ha!)

I'm making political survey calls - but not for any one campaign.
I do it for the pay ! LOL
