CBS NEWS: Obama takes lead in overall delegate count, INCLUDING Supers

Quote:
Maine Puts Topper On Obama Weekend Sweep, Obama Takes Delegate Lead With Wins In 4 States; Clinton Manager Steps Down - CBS News

Even Obama's own campaign said they didn't expect to win Maine, according to a document the campaign said was accidentally leaked earlier in the week.

In the delegate chase, Obama has pulled ahead of Clinton, even when the support of uncommitted super delegates is figured in. According to CBS News estimates, Obama holds a razor-thin lead with 1,134 delegates overall to 1,131 for Clinton.
Getting there.

The riptide has broken the surface. It's down hill for Hill.

From Frank Rich's column in today's New York's Times:

Less than two weeks ago she was airlifted into her own, less effective version of “Mission Accomplished.” Instead of declaring faux victory in Iraq, she starred in a made-for-television rally declaring faux victory in a Florida primary that was held in defiance of party rules, involved no campaigning and awarded no delegates. As Andrea Mitchell of NBC News said, it was “the Potemkin village of victory celebrations.”

------------------------------------------

I am getting the idea that Hillary's was the only Democratic candidate whose name was on Michigan and Florida ballots.

But, knowing the Clintons, I am sure she will get those Michigan and Florida delegate votes.

I'm sure she will. However, at the rate things are going even that won't be enough. Maine was suppose to be an easy win for Hillary and she got her ass whooped.

Becuase it has the added vice of being true. Don't hate the facts.
