This being the case, it doesn't look good for an Obama endorsement.
Obama has a gift for motivating the people to join the democratic process. This gift is priceless. If he can maintain this influence for 8 years, our country could make significant progress towards becoming the vessel it was meant to be.

Edwards Endorsement Meeting With Obama Canceled

An Edwards aide confirms to me that his meeting with Obama, which was schedule for today and was expected to focus on the possibility of an endorsement, has been canceled.

"The two of them have had a number of conversations in recent weeks and will continue to do so, but there is no meeting today," the aide says.

It's unclear as yet why it was canceled or whether it was rescheduled. Edwards met with Hillary on Thursday.
Thanks for the info. Oh well, nothing lost nothing gained. He needs to be out pounding the pavement today anyway.

That could well be the only reason. He may still get the endorsement. It only makes sense. It would be a big surprise if he didn't endorse Obama.

I can't imagine him endorsing Clinton. I think if he doesn't endorse either, he will get a job in either administration. Taking sides could jeopardize that. Maybe he's trying to decide between endorsing Obama or not making an endorsement at all. He could be trying to get Clinton to make certain promises about both platform and a position in her administration in exchange for him remaining neutral.

I don't see the point of any of this if he's not going to endorse, it would seem pointless to pull the candidates off of the compaign trail.

That being said, who do you think it will be? If he were to endorse Hillary what would it say about his hard fought stance on Lobbyists?

Another thing to consider here is the order in which he's asked to speak with them. Pulling Obama off of the trail (which is really Obama's decision to accept) the day before the key patomic states is a pretty big deal I would think. Hours count today.
He's just haggling for a better price. The trouble is I'm not sure that price has anything to do with his stated public agenda.
