Possible Edwards Endorsement Today - Who Will Get It?

He met with Hillary last week and Obama is flying to his home to meet with him today.

I don't see the point of any of this if he's not going to endorse, it would seem pointless to pull the candidates off of the compaign trail.

That being said, who do you think it will be? If he were to endorse Hillary what would it say about his hard fought stance on Lobbyists?

Another thing to consider here is the order in which he's asked to speak with them. Pulling Obama off of the trail (which is really Obama's decision to accept) the day before the key patomic states is a pretty big deal I would think. Hours count today.

I can not imagine that he support Hillary. I am sure he is hedging his bets, but she is against his message, as well as the majority of his voters went to Obama. It would be a huge let down.

Hillary was quoted over the weekend as saying something like, 'JOhn Edwards will play a role in anything I do in the White House.'

Still, I agree -- Obama's views is a a more natural fit. And I've noticed Obama picking up substantial pieces of the Edwards stump speech in the last week.

I think it will be Obama.

Interesting, I hadn't heard this yet. The plot thickens!

First of all, his endorsement doesn't mean the voters will follow.

Second of all, his proposals are most closely alligned with Hillary's proposals, so we have a question here.

Does he decide to endorse the one he most closely agrees with, or the one he thinks will win anyway?

Is there any doubt that Edwards will hold some position in either administration?

Have we forgotten the debate where Edwards and Hillary were BOTH arguing that Obama's healthplan fails to cover 15 million Americans?

Q:
Takes campaign money from federal Washington Lobbyists?

A:
Hillary: Yes
Obama: No

Q:
Takes federal PAC money?

A:
Hillary: Yes
Obama: No

Which of these does Edwards most closely agree with?

Just heard through the grapevine that the meeting today is off. No other news at this point but if you hear any, please post it. I picked it up off of DU, it was said that they announced it on MSNBC but I can't find anything on it yet.

This being the case, it doesn't look good for an Obama endorsement.
