yeah...apparently we're to stupid to vote in the primaries for who we want to vote for in Nov,

To me it reeks or political bribary...you scratch my back I'll scratch yours...more funding to states whose gov. supported the winner, favors for legislation that Representatives sponsor etc.etc. It seems to go against EVERYTHING that the Dems claim to stand for....

Too early for anyone to celebrate.

I'll feel better if the voters actually decide, but that may not be the case.

I'm not sure how Kennedy and Kerry, as super delegates, can be reasonably expected, push come to shove, to go opposite how their state voted.

I'm not sure how a super delegate votes against the one who has the most people generated delegates.

I'm not sure how a super delegate goes against the one who has the most popular vote.


It may be that one candidate wins in all categories, but it may not.

Then you have Florida and Michigan. I would be all for not counting them anywhere if the date of their primary had been the result of a voter referendum and the people of those states made the decisions, but that's not how it occurred, as I recall.

In that the voters went to the polls and voted, I have a problem with a handfull of people deciding their votes don't count.

I don't have the wisdom of Solomon, so I don't profess to have the answer. I hope someone does.

Have you ever watched a football game that was played so well on both sides that you feel it's a shame someone will lose?

I feel kind of like that now. It's a lot harder to lose a close game, no?

Ever wonder how adult people can make so many stupid decisions?

I really don't understand why our primaries can't be run just like an election. Have A voting day for all the states to vote.

If we need to thin a field, maybe have a serious of same day voting.


Why should we go piecemeal, and have all this talk about momentum and such.

Why not simply campaign and vote?

How do we justify any state going before another state?

according to cnn, obama has now pulled ahead - even if you COUNT the 78 super delegate advantage - based on the preliminary results from virginia.

this lead does NOT count DC and maryland...

Since Hiollary will find a way to worm the Florida and Michigan delegates in as they're read from the election results there [rather than as a compromise of where the country stands] what would those numbers do to the results?

she MIGHT be able to finagle florida somehow, but there's NO fucking way she'll get michigan... obama and edwards weren't even on the ballot!

the outstanding super delegates probably wouldn't commit till texas and ohio...
and the "committed ones" wouldn't start to shift before then, either.

it's the super delegates that are fucking this up, already!

The super delegates are starting to fear for their party's chances in the general election. They'll do whatever it takes to keep voters on their side against McCain. Count on it!

that's what i was thinking, they'd have to do a revote with everyone on the ballot if they were going to seat the delegates from michigan...or else seat the delegates and not have them count in anyone's totals..
