I bet you wouldnt be thinking that way if you were a grunt on patrol in Baghdad. You can't oppose the war AND support the troops. It is illogical and unpatriotic. The wars in Afghan and Iraq have kept us safe and that should be the highest goal. Protection of the homeland. In WWII you didnt see people out burning flags and opposing recruiting stations. You saw American working with every fiber of their being to protect this precious democracy.

Personally, when I got out of the military, and I saw someone burning a flag in protest I said to myself, "Freedom of speech, that's why I spent 5 years serving. It's a good thing."

Not when there wasn't any evidence that al-queda existed before we got there. It is war for the wrong reason when we attack a country that had nothing to do with it. The soldiers don't deserve it, the people of Iraq don't deserve it and we don't deserve it....seems like wrong reasons to me.


yeah I'm sure...there will be Al-queda subs, cruisers, soldiers, Air Craft carriers on our shores.

But...this has nothing to do with supporting the troops, or freedom of speech...instead of addressing that you just delved into the reasons why YOU think the war was a good idea.
