It is sickening that we do not have a standardized voting system managed by the feds, identical no matter the location, and simple.
Universities wouldn't accept SSAT...standardized by state scores, I know that.

vote by mail

the only problem i see is the selling of the ballots.
Just get a pre-signed ballot you buy from somebody,
vote the way you want and voila' more Florida shenanigans

I have advocated an absentee-type ballot as a generalized system for years. It's already in place!

It's the responsibility of our government to create and provide and maintain and verify that every citizen gets to vote and that their vote has been counted. We can all make a hundred excuses why something cannot work, but fact is, unless we're more stupid than I thought, if we can't manage something this simple, then we might as well give up. It's not a matter of us know-it-alls second-guessing everything; it's a matter that a decision is made to do something in a particular fashion and it is done to the best of our ability.

From my perspective there are tons of issues with our voting system, and these and other problems will never change unless enough PEOPLE demand change. Until then, just like every other issue we have been debating for decades, nothing positive will be accomplished...
