DNC official Karen Finney OK.s new Fl. & Mi. primarys

Just saw it on MSNBC, an interview w/Brian Williams.
It was a " Democratic response" to The Bush/McCain meeting.

She was VERY affirmative - saying " we've always been open to finding a way to count the 2 states"

Russert his morning said the same thing is necessary.

Fl. Gov. Charlie Christ (R.) has OK'd the state paying for it.

Looks like momentum is building for a 2nd primary in these states.

This is heresy and changing the rules during the game. The DNC made a decision and they HAVE to stick with it. Michigan and Florida broke the competition rules and were PUNISHED for it. Now they should be rewarded. No way. They must pay the price to maintain DNC policy adherrence. Next time every state will front load knowing that if it is close the rule means nothing.

no it's not. the rules WERE followed.
the delegates do NOT count, that's because the primary was held before Super Tuesday.

If ANOTHER primary is held AFTER that day, and the candidates are free to camapign, then the DNC's criteria are then met.

The DNC can't afford to just kiss off FLA. and Mi.
If the states are willing to do it over, and meet the DNC's criteria, there is no reason not to do it.

They did follow the rules, that's history, with the race being this close, they will now allow these states to have primaries to decide this. If, it makes it all the way to June.

Money, is the reason not to do it.

The Republicans will rightly point to this as just a taste of Democratic eagerness to spend money frivolously. At least THEY spend it chasing Bad Guys and Protecting America. Nudge nudge, wink wink.

My Friends, THIS is how they mean to spend your hard-earned taxpayer dollars. THIS is why, though we clearly need to clean corruption out of government...which I, as President, will make a priority...we do NOT need...

Not to mention...except I will because, as it says in the Bible, YOU ARE A STIFF-NECKED PEOPLE...if you whine your way into "take overs" now, any insistence on vote verification of General Election ballots will be laughed right "off the table."

Did I not hear that there was a voting apparatus irregularity in Ohio? Again?

and hypothetically, for the sake of argument, what happens if obama wins in these new primaries? you have to remember that hillary's was the only name on the ballot in michigan and she barely edged out a win over undecided...does hillary go bellyaching into the night about how unfair it is that the new primaries count? do we have to hear her bitch and moan about the original results should be counted?

and what about edwards? he hadn't dropped out of the race yet when michigan held their vote, what if he had actually won michigan and gained momentum from it? enough so that he might still be in the race today...

new primaries are bull!! they should just seat the delegates at the convention so all 50 states are represented and maintain the original rules that those delegates do not get a vote....otherwise, it's going to end ugly regardless of the results...

Why do you think they followed the rules? By moving their primaries ahead, against orders not to, they invalidated the results of those primaries. So now they wanna do-over? Reminds me of a kid who strikes out at bat. Please please please I WANT A DO-OVER!!!!!

Nah. They made their beds. Now they should have to sleep in them.

naw. that is specious. And the DNC can simply say:

" the ppl's voice must be heard" Americans value the vote, more than the simple costs of the STATES footing the bill
( MI & Fl. will pay for it)
trying to DENY a 2nd primary beause of $$ would be a disasterous argument,
especially with the level of spending in this campaign.

In Fla's case the state's Dem. party had no choice.
The primary was moved up by a Republican Legislature, and a Repub. Gov.
