I guess we should all vote for McSame.

In a live CNN interview just now, Sen. Clinton repeated, twice, the "Sen. McCain has a lifetime of experience, I have a lifetime of experience, Sen. Obama has one speech in 2002" line.

The corrosive nature of Hillary's statement is only exceeded by its sheer stupidity.

Does Hillary think McCain isn't going to use the line against her?

He has decades more "experience."

This seems like the perfect opening for Obama: He is now running against Clinton/McCain. If Clinton wants to ally herself with McCain, then she can ride that anchor to the bottom of the sea.

I'm sick of hearing all this bullshit about "experience". If we use experience as the criterion for picking our leaders, we'd just keep picking the same incompetent buffoons that run the country now. Dick Cheney has a lot of experience. Why not give him the Democratic nomination?

Fuck experience. I'm more interested in competence and sanity.

Someone who answered an opinion poll at HuffPo had a friend who
works for ad agency doing ads for McCain campaign. By end of
March the agency planned to have two ads ready -- one based on the "3:00 a.m. telephone call" ad and the second one based on the
video clip of Hillary saying that she and McCain had lifetimes of experience, while Obama had only one speech. (This was posted
Monday night -- obviously the McCain campaign cannot use second ad if Obama does not get nomination.)

I agree, but it is all the more annoying that Hillary doesn't have
the experience she boasts of. Her resume is shamelessly inflated.
She was a corporate attorney for 16 years and a First Lady for 8 years. Her Senate experience is all that is relevant.

As you pointed out on another thread, she miserably failed the most important foreign policy test she has had in the Senate.

How many people are going to the conventions. I'll assume that nobody but maybe me will go to the Republica convention, but I will probably do the Democratic Convention in Denver too. That's gonna be the best bloodbath of the season. Ah those backroom deals. I'm gonna take a wineskin and get a good seat for the Dems. Watch them screw O out of this thing.

This sort of adds to the FUN of what we have to look forward to after Hillary is finished trashing the party.

"President Bush threw a Rose Garden endorsement of newly-minted GOP nominee John McCain this afternoon, and a press-conference broke out! The on-hand press corps passed on the opportunity to bask in the moment in order to fire a number of questions at the once and potentially future presidents, including: how will McCain "make the case that you'll provide the change that the voters seem to want both on Iraq and on the economy?" Bush's answer was, "Uhm, sort of we won't!"

BUSH: Let me start off by saying that in 2000, I said vote for me, I'm an agent of change. In 2004, I said, I'm not interested in change. I want to continue as president. Every candidate has to say change. That's what the American people expect. And the good news about our candidate is, he'll be a new president, a man of character and courage, but he's not going to change when it comes to taking on the enemy. He understands this is a dangerous world. And I understand we better have steadfast leadership who's got the courage and determination to pursue this enemy so as to protect America. John McCain will find out when he takes the oath of office, his most important responsibility is to protect the American people from harm. There's still an enemy that lurks. An enemy that wants to strike us. This country better have somebody in the Oval Office that understands the stakes and John McCain understands those stakes."

There is a video of the comments here if you can stomach watching it.

I couldn't agree more.

We are in a shit hole.

They all helped dig it.

Who did the most digging?

You can't look at the number of shovel-fulls alone. You have to look at the size and shape of the shovel heads.

As well, you must look at how each shovel-full of shit was flung, and to where.

Or was all the shit from the shit hole just tossed in a heap right there in Washington...left to stink up the place while we determine who is responsible for the removal? In which case, we must look at which shit contractor is paid to haul it away. And did we get bids?

I beg your pardon sir. McCain is a war hero and a gentleman. He would have a very fine one term and his Vice President Collin Powell would finish out his term honorably.
