CBC video on "NAFTAgate"

very interesting how the canadian press is covering this much better than our own press!

and isn't it also VERY interesting that what hillary said, and mc cain said, is almost identical?
coincidence? i think NOT!

YouTube - CBC reports on Canadian Government NAFTA lie

What I find interesting is that CTV is now completely leaving out ALL reference to the fact that Hillary's campaign was reported to have issued the same message.

Also that Canada's government is investigating but the US is not concerned about who gave this to the AP and how the AP chose to use it---without investigating Clinton's role and without contacting anyone to confirm the information.

Are there now 5 threads on this issue---cause the information is getting diffused and the timing of reports and context of these reports is lost in trying to synthesize all the info on this issue.

I will repost the video of Wolfson here so that hopefully someone reading can appreciate that Wolfson has pushed this issue for the clinton campaign.

coffee smelling time

OUR news reports there are memos that support the now denied communications.

FACT: IT DOESN'T MATTER IF ANY OF THIS IS TRUE OR NOT.

Our "news" preferrs stirring the pot to giving us facts. I've been complaining about this for years, including the Iraq resolution being an authorization to go to war; it was not.

OUr media will take things out of context, theyf will act like a referee between two opposing campaigns, all to build their ratings. Their JOB is to tell us the truth.

This may well be a bad rap on Obama. Welcome to the club.

It may also be a good rap on him, in which case he deserves to have him image tarnished.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could watch our news shows and know what the truth is?

I'm going to try to avoid this entire subject (primaries) until/unless something other than Obama/Hillary supporter bickering comes up.

I've voted, so my opinion doesn't matter until the general. I have no say in what happens with Fla. and Mi. I will vigorously and gladly support the democratic nominee.

Those of you who support Senator Obama and feel that the media coverage he has gotten over the last week is either unwarranted, irrelevant, or even false, I would say you have my empathy. We Clinton supporters have lived with such coverage for some time.

I'm going to try my best, via emails to CNN et al, to try to get the media to actually do its job, and let us know what the facts are.

An informed voter is the keystone to democracy: a misinformed voter is its deathnell.

JD, are you on drugs? this "may be a bad rap"? maybe this, maybe that? is there some kind of medication that keeps you in some rosey state of denial?

what the fuck more do you want?

how much MORE than the canadian government openly admitting that the memo was NOT reflective of what obama's rep said, that the memo was leaked illegally, that the memo was obviously strategically released to effect our primaries - before you admit that this WAS dirty politics, that hillary WAS obviously involved, and that our press DOES shelter her and panders to her when she whines - that it's actually helping her to rig an election by not covering this important international story?

christ on a crutch. what would it take for you to admit you had two flies fucking on the tip of your nose? a maggot?

The question is why did the AP get this wrong?? Who did Hillary pay?? How much?

"Brodie downplayed those concerns.

“Quite a few people heard it,” said one source in the room.

“He said someone from (Hillary) Clinton’s campaign is telling the embassy to take it with a grain of salt ... That someone called us and told us not to worry.”

Government officials did not deny the conversation took place.

They said that Brodie sought to allay concerns about the impact of Obama and Clinton’s assertion that they would re-negotiate NAFTA if elected. But they did say that Brodie had no recollection of discussing any specific candidate — either Clinton or Obama. CTV News Vice-President Robert Hurst said he would not discuss his journalists’ sources.

But others said the content of Brodie’s remarks was passed on to CTV’s Washington bureau and their White House correspondent set out the next day to pursue the story on Clinton’s apparent hypocrisy on the North American Free Trade Agreement."

This is the one of the largest unmitigated crock of SHIT you have posted JD!

NAME ONE TIME THE MEDIA HAS INTENTIONALLY 2 DAYS BEFORE A PRIMARY RUN A STORY THAT WAS A LIE ABOUT HILLARY, JD!!

JUST ONE!

You have a squishy turd from a rancid toilet for the candidate that you have chosen to support! You spend every fucking moment trying to alibi everything she does regardless of how amoral it is!

I hope your grand-daughters do turn out to be like her!

MEANWHILE---If you cannot support your candidate with the truth or facts then there is something wrong with YOU and your candidate!

The lies here are:

1) Obama's campaign did NOT initiate contact with the Canadian's---the canadian's SOMEHOW were directed to initiate contact with a little known advisor to the Obama campaign!

2) Obama's advisor was then said to have made comments that the CLINTON CAMPAIGN MADE---this was NOT apparently switched in Canada---IT HAPPENED IN THE US somewhere between the Canadian White House correspondent and the AP!!

3) There is a audio tape posted HERE of CLINTON'S campaign manager driving this story with the press!

4) The press DID NOT choose to send reporters to Canada to interview Brodie---which may have straightened out matters. They rushed it to the airwaves.

5) CLINTON HERSELF DID NOT WAIT until the story was fully investigated ---- instead she made slurs about Obama based on FALSE INTEL----AGAIN!!!! She used KNEE JERK JUDGMENT AND WAS WRONG----AGAIN!!!

GET IT!!!

BAD JUDGMENT!!! AGAIN!!

THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE VOTING FOR!!!

Furthermore OF COURSE you will support Obama if he wins the nomination---then the race will be between a democrat and a republican!

If Hillary has the nomination the race will be between two Repukes --- a Lieberman like one and McCain!

Hillary has ENDORSED McCain repeatedly --- I will take her advise!!!

For those of us who have him on Ignore for the above-stated reasons, others might think twice before they quote him.

FACT: IT DOESN'T MATTER IF ANY OF THIS IS TRUE OR NOT.

This is all he could talk about for two days. -- and now it doesn't matter? What difference does it make when a presidential candidate smears her opponent right before an important primary?

And when our mainstream media, with the exception of Keith Olbermann, suddenly has no interest in the story that they fervantly covered last Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Hillary has drawn a line in the sand today! She is separating the real democrats from the Lieberman democrats and she has FIRMLY planted herself on the republican side of that line!

If Hillary is not the nominee she BELIEVES that the republicans should win! PERIOD! I hope she and all of her supporters leave the party and go right where they belong!

For sure they can quit the ---We want a dem in the white house no matter what shit! They can't tell the difference---they are supporting someone with NOT AN OUNCE IN PARTY LOYALTY---NONE!!!

JD's talking out of both sides of his mouth is facillitated by there being MULTIPLE threads on the exact same topic!

You would right now have to read at least 5 threads to get all the facts together OR to see what different positions JD has---no one seems to get the damage this does to the argument being made!
