My apologies if this has been quoted in its entirety before, but here is text of what Samantha Power actually said to the Scottish reporter:

"We f***** up in Ohio," she admitted. "In Ohio, they are obsessed and Hillary is going to town on it, because she knows Ohio's the only place they can win.

"She is a monster, too - that is off the record- she is stooping to anything," Ms Power said, hastily trying to withdraw her remark.

Ms Power said of the Clinton campaign: "Here, it looks like desperation. I hope it looks like desperation there, too.

"You just look at her and think, 'Ergh'. But if you are poor and she is telling you some story about how Obama is going to take your job away, maybe it will be more effective. The amount of deceit she has put forward is really unattractive."

comparing Barack Obama to Kenneth Starr.

And Tucker Carlson, of all people, told Gerri Peev, the reporter who
wrote the story, that he "resented being lectured about journalistic ethics by someone from The Scotsman.

Why are people today so thin skinned.

I don't think she should have resigned, either.

However, Obama once made a statement, then backed down from it, because it was "politically incorrect" to make it.

Remember when he referred to the "wasted" lives of our troops in Iraq.

Why did he back down from that? It was honest. It was true.

Why does anyong think this has been a nasty primary?

Hillary Clinton could have defused the situation by simply laughing it off. Instead she called for the head of an obviously talented and accomplished woman. How does this square with Hillary voters who want to see women advance? The Red Queen has spoken! Off with thier heads!

It's funny I don't recall Hillary calling for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to be fired for calling Hillary a bitch. Perhaps it was just feigned outrage for political purposes.

But she got David Shuster at MSNBC suspended for two weeks because Shuster used a word he could as easily have used about the Romney sons. Then she wrote to the President of NBC urging that
Shuster be terminated. Then she got Media Matters to send at least three hysterical emails to everyone on its mailing list, begging them t sign a petition calling for Shuster's termination.

I lost all respect for Media Matters. I have had my name removed from their mailing list.
