He'll get my vote, but

I seriously doubt he'll win over McCain.

Posted elsewhere on these boards is a video of Obama saying, right after winning the senate seat, that he doesn't know enough to run for president.

That's not seen much air time during these supposedly nasty primaries, but it will be all over your television sets during the general election.

As will Naftagate, and his other current problems.

I know, the polls. Well, the people being polled haven't seen that video yet. When they do, those polls will change.

You are the one who posted the video. As an Admiinistrator pointed out, it was made four years ago. No one cares.
Your candidate has also urged you to vote for McCain if she does not get the nomination.

You have not read one post here about Hillary and Nafta and Canada and Obama, like this one by Richard Adams in The Guardian,
03/06/08:

Clinton's role in Nafta-gate

It was Clinton's camp that downplayed its own trade bashing, reports the Canadian media
March 6, 2008 12:30 PM

A storm of reports in the Canadian media say that the Nafta-gate flap last week involving Barack Obama was started by a key aide to Canada's prime minister - who told journalists that Hillary Clinton's campaign - not Obama's - had contacted the Canadian government to play down its Nafta-bashing.

The Canadian Press wire service - the equivalent to AP - reports that Ian Brodie, chief of staff to Stephen Harper, was talking to journalists last week: "Brodie was asked about remarks aimed by the Democratic candidates at Ohio's anti-Nafta voters that carried economic implications for Canada." It quotes a witness who reported Brodie's remarks:

"He said someone from (Hillary) Clinton's campaign is telling the embassy to take it with a grain of salt ... That someone called us and told us not to worry."
Here's today's splash in the Globe and Mail, which begins: "The leak of a confidential diplomatic discussion that rocked the US presidential campaign began with an offhand remark to journalists from the Prime Minister's chief of staff, Ian Brodie." It goes on:

Mr Brodie ... stopped to chat with several journalists, and was surrounded by a group from CTV.... The conversation turned to the pledges to renegotiate the North American free-trade agreement made by the two Democratic contenders, Mr Obama and New York Senator Hillary Clinton.

Mr Brodie, apparently seeking to play down the potential impact on Canada, told the reporters the threat was not serious, and that someone from Ms Clinton's campaign had even contacted Canadian diplomats to tell them not to worry because the Nafta threats were mostly political posturing.

But why don't you start 6 or 8 threads today, reposting the 4-year old video that no one cares about, and mischaracterizing Hillary Clinton's shameful role in the NAFTA/Canada story.

And please, please disregard all the polls that say that Obama is far more likely to defeat McCain than Clinton is.

Wink

I disagree. I think Obama could easily beat McCain. Just take a look at how many Democrats are showing up at the primaries and caucuses compared to Republicans. I think Obama has this thing won already. For the most part, McCain's only supporters are over 70 years old and those who are voting AGAINST the Democrats.

You're not getting the point. If a democrat is pointing this out, do you not think that in the general election the republicans will be broadcasting that video and using it every chance they get against Obama? It doesn't matter when it was made, that is not the point. Things are manipulated all the time, this wont' be any different.

Honestly, you people have tunnel vision and are incapable of seeing beyond your own opinions.

Still; Who knows how the race will play our for ANY candidate at this time.??
We just have to go thru this.

in 2004, barack obama said he was not running for president...

in 2004, john mccain said he was not running for president...

in 2001, hillary clinton said she would never run for president...

they say these things all the time and then most of the end up running anyway...this is not really an issue

Thanks.

I am sure that jdanton will start at least 7 more threads and make
20 or 30 more posts about this video.

I would like to see a survey of how many posters here believe for a nanosecond that jdanton will vote for Obama. He has said 57 times
he will.
