hillary taking it to the convention!!!
Clinton Tells Washington Post She May Fight Up to Convention
Kristin Jensen Sat Mar 29, 10:27 PM ET Clinton Tells Washington Post She May Fight Up to Convention - Yahoo! News March 29 (Bloomberg) -- Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said she may keep challenging rival Barack Obama right up to their party's national convention in August, the Washington Post reported. Clinton, 60, a New York senator, has been rejecting calls that she drop out of the race as she lags behind Obama in pledged delegates to the nominating convention. She has also been pushing to validate the results of primaries in Florida and Michigan, which were disqualified by the Democratic Party. ``I have no intention of stopping until we finish what we started and until we see what happens in the next 10 contests and until we resolve Florida and Michigan,'' Clinton said in an interview with the Washington Post today in Indiana. ``And if we don't resolve it, we'll resolve it at the convention.''... ...Her comments to the Post are the strongest she has made yet on the issue of how far she will go to contest the nomination. Clinton requested the interview, the newspaper said in a story published on its Web site.

I had forgotten that the convention is August 25 through August 28.
This will leave the Democratic nominee barely two months to campaign against John McCain, who by November will have been campaigning for the presidency for at least eight months. The superdelegates and the MSM are letting this deranged woman ruin the Democratic party. Last edited by HarperLee; 03-30-2008 at 07:09 AM. |

it would be suicide for the party if this goes to convention.
mark my words, you might just as well give the WH to mc cain right now, if that's the case.

But just the three of them? A two-for-the-very-high-price-of-one couple from Arkansas, the superdelegates and Mainstream Media, they alone are ruining the Democratic party? I think not.

i agree, americans who don't know SHIT about politics, because they haven't paid attention to it for decades - are playing their part... and their ignorance sure shows. this should have been a slam dunk. but you got to admit that, it's hillary driving the bus off the cliff. because if she HAD any semblance of good judgment, and TRULY placed the good of the country and party above her own self-interests, she would have backed off after wisconsin, and saved her political future for 2012 - rather than endangering the party and pissing away a slam dunk election, while committing political suicide and politically murdering her opponent, who basically has the same platform she's pushing. the true judas in this disgusting situation is hillary. i'm sorry, but in my opinion, any fool who thinks that taking this battle to an august 28th convention is a wise idea is simply too inexperienced and ignorant about what it takes to win an election this important to participate in it.

That is like asking whether doctors are more likely to advise Medicare patients to come back in two weeks.

bet the farm. yes.
the only way that will be avoided is if someone has the good sense to drop out... and unfortunately, there's absolutely no evidence of THAT!

I mean, how can it not, aside from MY fraternal twin perceptions, one being that this is Hillary Clinton's nature...there is nothing she CAN do but what she IS doing...the other being that Barack Obama is swept up in his own celebrity...hey, it happens, we see again and again that it happens. I mean, how can it not, aside from the Democrats having painted themselves into the highly ironic corner of needing to let all of the people have all of their says. I mean, how can it not, now that their respective supporters are embedded AND entrenched, rejecting and renouncing one another? Voters are invested in a rigged election in ways that they are not invested in solid savings. Many are invested in politics for the first time. Ask OldManOnFire how he felt about John Edwards after John Edwards pulled out of the race, after John Edwards said he'd duke it out until the end. Mixing sports metaphors seems strangely apt. Forget racing, forget boxing, think football. There have been Super Bowl match-ups where one team is so heavily favored as to be a laughing matter. Or not a laughing matter...so clear are the advantages and strength of one team that to play just to play is to risk unnecessary injuries. Do we EVER call the game? Why would we? Anderson Cooper said something very very along this line, 'It's the best thing to happen to...' He was talking about the Democratic fiasco being a boon to cable news shows. Anderson Cooper and Erica-of-the-animated-face with whom he trades wisecracks are trivializing CNN, incidentally. OldManOnFire sent hard-earned MONEY to John Edwards. John Edwards assured his supporters that he would not pull out. Had John Edwards NOT pulled out, war-torn Democrats could surge to another candidate without conceding defeat. Democrats keep a vigilant eye on the small picture.

That said, I heard at least two but I think three different Information Celebrities use a rendition of "It's not rocket science" IN ONE BROADCAST. Yes, We The People need to get smart and act smart. But Those The Junkies, who have been involved with This Stuff for decades, also need to get off their high horses. This stuff is NOT rocket science, and it must be owned by long-time lay politicos as surely as it must be owned by long-time professional Politicos: YOU'RE NOT DOING IT RIGHT. Quote:

If Hillary Clinton was about the good of the country, she would not have tossed her chunky necklaces into the ring at all. Ever. It is Obama who should have waited. IN MY OPINION. Quote:

I'm talking about him campaigning wrong, doing THIS wrong. For Hillary Clinton to politically murder him, he must do what she thinks he will do and react how she thinks he will react. Otherwise it's like, WAIT! Don't move that rook, move your bishop, otherwise I can't checkmate you. Quote:
