Personally I believe that these Rovean tactics hurt her more than help, but they hurt Obama too. I wish they would both focus on McCain, but again, the Clinton camp knows it won't be able to catch Obama on that playing field.

It's too bad the rest of these primaries are so far off, I don't think Clinton should drop out, but it would be nice to have this done with.
And, if after the next few primaries do pass and Obama continues to gain momentum, if she does continue to fight a hopeless battle, then the damage to the party that so many are talking about will carry into the general election.

THAT'S why we should all try to be a little more kind to each other now, let's remember who the real enemy is here and not make our own wounds so deep that they won't be able to heal by November.
Calling racists "assholes" is simply speaking the truth, it's not a matter of making nice with people who want to play on American fears of Muslims and people of color. The Hillaryites here and elsewhere have engaged in such tactics. My calling them out on it is completely fair and I doubt that my posts will change the minds of people already bound and determined to put Hillary in office at any cost, even though they will ultimately fail. Some stories don't have two sides. If Clinton threw in the towel tomorrow and backed Obama, history would remember her much more kindly than if she continues on this self destructive course.

People think we are being uncivil huh?

It’s true, this thing started like it always does. People discussing, arguing points, citing sources, like most debatable topics. But there is always a point where one side can no longer defend their position due to the facts piling up against them. It’s at this point, if we truly are on the same side, that these people being as “civil” as they are, should come to terms with the situation and do what is right.

That is not the case in this situation. What we have are people so blinded by what they WANT to believe that they project their own delusions on the opposition. For over 7 years we have watched our leader lie to us and then laugh it off. I have witnessed this same behavior in Hillary several times in the primary and yet her supporters either seem to miss it or are so used to it that they believe it’s the way things should be.

It’s not that they should simply say, “Well Obama is winning so lets go with him.”
Instead they should be sick to their stomachs about her tactics like the rest of people who truly want change. You can only debate someone who is blatantly wrong so many times before they become ridiculous. You can only show them their candidate’s lies and bullshit so many times before you realize that no matter what they will never see it. It’s at this point that frustration and anger begin to take hold.

We are fighting to take back our country from people who only care about themselves.

So naturally, the gloves have come off.

Hear, hear.

I would also point out that the Hillary supporters refuse to acknowledge or discuss alliances of the Clintons with the loony
right. I have asked one Hillary supporter at least 5 times to justify
Hillary's creepy new friendship with Richard Mellon Scaife, but have gotten no response.

Not one Hillary supporter has responded to dozens
of posts in the past few days about Hillary Clinton's
longtime membership in "The Family".

Nobody likes being wrong.

Most will lose face and even sacrifice pride and dignity rather then except it.

Not quite. You have missed a lot this weekend. "The Family" is
a very secretive D.C. "prayer group". Former members are Rick
Santorum and Sam Brownback. Need I say more. Google Doug Coe.
Start with this:

Talk To Action | Reclaiming Citizenship, History, and Faith

And this, Hillary's Nasty Pastorate, from The Nation:

This is true. But the powers that be behind Clinton that want politics to stay the way they are don't care if Clinton self destructs her political future, that's a risk they're willing to take. Keeping a person that they don't own out of the White House is worth it to them.

And why is that? I don't like being wrong but I can resist making myself look like a fool trying to defend an incorrect position.
Admitting that you're wrong or saying "I don't know" have become like a sin these days.

huh? Am I the only one having trouble understanding this, or does this reply actually go three directions at once?

It's because they not only have to admit to being wrong but admit to what their being wrong has cost them and others.
