Spanked by who?

Oh, you mean John McBush running for "W"s third term?

If that happens I will cry in my beer. But it has to happen first. Don't savor my saltwater beer before it's poured...or count chickens before they hatch.

So you aren't coming out?

There's a clinical name for it as well; Norman Bates.

I wonder whet he is afraid of and why it apparently matters so much to him?

It makes no difference is code for "it made difference enough to hide".

Someone had better suck up Wesley Clark, depending upon what polling reveals about those in power having military experience.

Sadly enough, strutting about like a bantam rooster while spewing tough talk about taking it to some scapegoat du jour is taken to mean that person, regardless of being an idiot, is tougher than someone who might be a whole lot smarter and perhaps a little cerebral and reflective. This is who we are collectively, a people indelibly steeped in the myth of the American cowboy.

I think it was Maher who went to the old folks home where they liked Rudy because, as they said, "He wouldn't back down." Hey, don't laugh. The rest of tv and movie addicted America is not far off from this. Everything is perception and that's how people work. They have fantasies about fighting, toughness, and war. These vaninglorious images have nothing to do with reality and everything to do with our disconnectedness from anything real and our fear.

Dems had better accept this reality and do something as a result. I'm not above some theatre as an effective response to stupidity and bullshit...maybe tough-as-hell talk from a big hulking white man as VP. Maybe someone not quite as delicate looking as Clark. Someone full of piss and vinegar who is itching to go out and kill varmints, evildoers, and even those who just look at him a liittle funny.

The president, espcially if Hillary is the one, can say things like "I'll put the veep on that." People will think "Watch out now, our veep is gonna kick some Iranian butt." Meanwhile the rest of the administration can pursue diplomacy with intelligence.

This way everyone gets what they want. The wrasslin' demographics the type of vicarious bloodlust that they need with some buffoon who constantly berates and threatens straw men the world over. They will be so occupied that others can get the real work done.

Who hasn't noticed the initial seduction of Ahnold and Jesse Ventura types? Big, supposedly tough men who with chips, wait...no, logs on their shoulders who can crush those we love to hate or rip out their heart and show it to them just before death consumes them. They are ornery cusses, but at least they are our ornery cusses.

These types of people make scared people feel safe.

What a dynamic duo we'd have with Brainylady or Smart-Brother and Bonecrusher. They'd laugh scathingly at ol feeble Grandpaw McBush and mock him regularly and when they did it they'd be so full of bile that they'd squint their eyes like Clint Eastwood or Ronnie Reagan and stare straight into the camera and vow that Ahmidinejad's days were numbered." Never mind, that they never back it up...they just have to be seen doing it.

They need to practice railing with incredulity. I find practicing in front of a mirror really helps. They just practice hard because the free world needs them to do this.

OK, so this is a little tongue in cheek but don't laugh it is what the Republicans do.

Modern Republicans are too easy to beat. They seem stupid, but really they simply travel the wrong road. While they trudge along on a bumpy dirt path, the rest of us easily cruise a superhighway. Motivation is the only reason they ever triumph.
