AOL Straw Poll shows Clinton in the lead 58% to Obama at 42%!

Polls are such funny things. I don't know that any single poll in this country is truly accurate but this one has Votes in the hundreds of thousands each week, while the Gallop poll uses only a sampling of 1000 a day.

Who knows but it is worth noting if nothing else.

Straw Poll: Dec. 21 - Jan. 4 - Political Machine

While that link shows dates Dec through Jan it links to the current March 31st - April 7th poll.

Right now the poll shows Clinton ahead in all states, but it changes drastically as it updates in real time.

Internet based polls differ greatly from polls done by professional companies....

eh...to be honest...the variances that have been seen are due to the tight race and the margin of error...at least in the professional ones...the Internet ones have no margin of error because there is zero reliability....

Too bad they are. Ron Paul would be the Republican nominee by a landslide if they were right.

AOL has never been accurate. You'll note the absence of the margin of error or other critical details like how long the polling's been done or what criteria. For all we know it was possible to submit votes many times being that it doesn't matter.

And worst of all...

It's AOL. These poor bastards can't give their software away, literally!

Although the vote is only once for each person there are many reasons this poll has problems with accuracy that's for sure.....but so do all polls, even Gallop.

As I said I really don't trust them that much.

I dropped AOL in the mid 90's and went with Net Zero untill they started charging. It was a good ride while it lasted. Had internet for free for about a year.

Now I have Surewest DSL....love it.
