video of POOR FLORIDA DEM getting railroaded
into accepting earlier primary...
note: this state's dem legislators all voted FOR the bill! only two voted "no". so here you actually see how hard they fought against it! this is the party's leader:

interesting, especially after everyone saying they didn't have a choice because moving up the election was attached to some voting reform legislation....looks (and sounds) more like they did have a choice and had they not thought the sanctions a big joke could probably have gotten the two bills separated or at the very least written in language to keep the democratic primary separate from the republican primary

I'm still not convinced Obama needs Florida to win the general election. Florida isn't worth the trouble.

EXACTLY!! They moved up their primary to try to make themselves more important in the primary (and to try to get all that primary cash in flux) and they lost their delegates. Now some of them want to raise the rafters bitching because they broke the rules. No one else can disenfranchise the Florida voters ---their legislators chose to do that. |

In 32 years--8 election cycles--Fla only voted dem in 1976 and 1996. The only reason they ever became relevant was because they were too stupid to count their own votes.

LOL he will. Florida is really in play this year.
But Obama prolly can't carry it - Hillary maybe could. The problem is Obama can't carry Ohio either. real probs await

did you actualy play the video??
That guy is saying he recognizes Fla WILL get penalized. Listen to the last comment!! "so you are saying you don't want the bill to pass?" "Oh no -we want it to pass" ( said sarcastically) we really want this ! ( not ). look. you can debate this till the cows come home. The problem REMAINS that the voters here are pissed off. 24% say they will not vote Dem in the General! so if you wanna arrogantly toss Fla to McCain, I'm sure he will be glad to accept it. OR figure out a way to seat the delegates, and keep Fla, in play

you can attempt to spin the asshole's comments any way you want, cosmo - but the florida dems never took this seriously, (i was following it closely as it happened) and voted FOR moving up the primary enmass - laughing while they did. and RK is exactly right. don't need florida. in projections i've seen, obama wins without them. and hillary loses with OR without them. i say go ahead and seat some delegates to shut them up. it won't change anything, anyway. hillary STILL can't catch up and pass obama in pledged delegates.
