those sophisticated well-informed pennsylvannia voters...
McClatchy Washington Bureau | 04/02/2008 | Obama Girl's hard-times hometown has soft spot for Clinton
Of Obama, Duser said: "I'm not crazy about voting for a colored guy, but that's not why I don't support Obama. I'm not prejudiced. I just like Hillary." A couple tables over, Jean Fetterman, a foster grandparent, said of Clinton: "Oh, I love her. She's a very intelligent person, and she has her husband who went through this." She scoffs at the idea of voting for Obama: "I don't want to be a Muslim!" She looks dubious when told Obama is Christian. "Then why did he go see what's-his-name over in Iraq, that Lama?" i read somewhere recently that 25% of democrats still believe that obama is a muslim.
let's take a WILD guess who THEY support. ...as far as we know, that is. hillary and obama are BOTH democrats, and this kind of SHIT is EXACTLY why i can't stomach hillary anymore. she SHOULD be standing up for her fellow democrat on this, instead of doing her best to fan the flames of ignorance and bigotry. when she isn't busy lying, she's standing by mute knowing full well that her silence is contributing to this smear.

It is interesting to note that when Gore was faced with the same sort of problems when running against Jesse Jackson in 1988---people inspired by a message---he chose NOT to introduce racism. He chose NOT to be devisive. On Super Tuesday that year (which was only 12 states then i believe) he lost 5 southern states to Jesse Jackson and rather than playing on racism and hate mongering of his supporters he dropped out of the race. |

And let us not forget that during the Wright brouhaha, Hillary was not exactly "standing by mute" -- she and her minions were busily trying to convince the superdelegates that Wright would be Obama's downfall. |
