Nancy Pelosi Fold Again! [no surprise]
Apparently blackmail does pay in the "democratic" party. Pelosi's latest statement on the primary election, that it should now run its course, sounded as if Hillary wrote up what to say.
Nice job Hillary! You're giving the white house to the republicans... AGAIN!!

![]() However, she is still hinting to the fact that after Obama builds an insurmountable lead that Hillary needs to drop. She just caved on everything else, as she has so many times before. This is exactly why our current congress is worhtless, not only against republicans but even in our own party. |

My dear friends.
Why are you all so upset about so little? It's just April 2. Are you afraid that Rev. Wright will cost Obama votes in Pa.? Is that why you'd like Hillary to back out before they vote? What, exactly, is your problem with letting the coming states run their primaries before making any decisions about staying in or dropping out? Where do you folks get the audacity to presume anyone should drop out at this stage of the primaries? Only thing I can think of is that you fear something will happen and Hillary will end up with the nomination. I can't imagine anything that would lead to that other than something that surfaces that would make it impossible for Obama to win in November. So far, in the general election, Obama's biggest problem, my opinion, is going to be Rev. Wright. Why not let the voters finish voting, then let the super delegates do their job?

Surely there is a way we can make this about him and what he wants to talk about.

What does this post have to do with Nancy Pelosi? You are ignoring my long post about why I do not fear that something will happen and Hillary will end up with the nomination. That is your wet dream, not my fear. You know, Danton, Barack Obama said yesterday that the president he most admires is Abraham Lincoln. One reason he gave for his choice was that Lincoln had the ability to see the humanity in his enemies. As a self-confessed bleeding heart liberal, I have tried, really tried, to see the humanity in you. But I am not as good a person as Obama, and so far I fail to see any redeeming qualities. You are dishonest, devious, conniving -- all under the guise of being a lovable, wise old Wilford Brimley. I honestly think there should be a board rule against copying and pasting the same post on multiple threads. This is something that trolls do. Last edited by HarperLee; 04-02-2008 at 11:01 AM. |

Why is it so hard for you to admit that if Hillary claws her way to
Denver, Obama will have barely two months to campaign against McCain? Is it because you care more about Obama losing than you care about the Democratic party or you country? |

This country cannot, in my opinion, survive the way we'd like it to with more republican appointed justices. Most of the Hillary vs Obama arguments are over little or nothing, IMO, and I'll support whomever ends up with this nomination. It has annoyed me to no end that ANY superdelegate voiced support for any candidate while the voting was taking place, as it's not their job to influence the voting. It is there job to make a decision if the voters fail to. It annoys me even more that anyone would ever suggest a candidate who still has the slimest of chances to be the nominee drop out. If we can get past the emotional hatred of Senator Clinton, we can see the advantages of her staying in at least until after the coming votes. These coming votes may be an extremely good reflection as to the extent, if any, Wright is hurting Obama, and whether or not that should be factored into the super delegates decisions. Because she's still in this, they have, I believe, 2 debates scheduled. I believe they will both spend some of these debates unifying the party behind the nominee. I don't consider those of us who have supported Obama as my enemy, and I'd like to think, although it's difficult sometimes, to think those who supported Obama don't think of me, as a Hillary supporter, as their enemy. I have always been ready to vigorously support Obama if he gets the nomination Personally, I believe, those of super delegate status who would like Hillary to drop out are simply showing cowardice. They are hoping this won't come down to them making the decision. Looks like it will come down to them making a decision. At that time, they can do the math several ways, flip a coin, or whatever works for them. I'll support the nominee. I really believe there should be a rule that super delegates remain neutral until after the voting has failed to give someone enough delegates. Meanwhile, let's agree on one thing: the system stinks. I've emailed the DNC suggesting that next time they divide the country into five groups of states, each group representing as closely as possible the demographics of the country. Then, in order by lot, hold primaries, no caucuses, on 5 separate dates with 2 weeks between. Problem with caucuses is that they are truly not representative of a state's demographic. People encumbered by time clocks and/or family responsibilities have trouble attending.
