new PA poll shows obama in lead

Pennsylvania Democratic Primary PPP (D) Clinton 43, Obama 45 Obama +2

yeah, it's from ppp, but even so, compared to previous polls, it's confirming a trend to obama.

from the public policy polling .pdf:

Obama overtakes Clinton in PA

Raleigh, N.C. – Barack Obama has taken the lead over Hillary Clinton 45-43 in Pennsylvania, according to the newest survey from Public Policy Polling. It’s a remarkable turn around from PPP’s last Pennsylvania poll, conducted two and a half weeks ago, that showed Clinton with a 26 point lead in the state. That poll was released at the height of the Jeremiah Wright controversy and the day before Obama’s major speech on race in Philadelphia. Obama has been trending upward in national polling and in many state level polls since then and this survey reflects that pattern.

RealClearPolitics - Election 2008 - Latest Polls

other interesting polls show obama beating mc cain in pennsylvannia and ohio...

and clinton having a small a lead against mc cain in florida.

well, he is coming up in all the PA polls pretty quickly, considering he's only been campaigning there in earnest for about a week...
and obama has a history of going into a lot of states behind clinton - then as people meet him, he rockets up in the polls.

he needs to stay there, boost those numbers good, and THEN really concentrate his attention on indiana.

i am really starting to think he's got a shot at winning PA!
just basing that on a gut feeling i get from blog comments - that maybe he actually has a lot more support in the state than appearances would lead one to believe.

Chantytown has disabled reputation
When I was at the gym yesterday, they had Fox news on one of the big screens. I had my head phones tuned to MSNBC, but everytime I glanced at the TV with Fox on, "baby a punishment?" was scrolling on the ticker.

They're really gonna try to play up that bullshit with the blue collar crowd.

I can only hope that the masses aren't as retarded as I already think they are.

For a change, MSNBC is actually being rational in its reporting about
the baby/punishment quote.

I have to think that people who rely on Fox for their news would never vote for Obama anyway.

(Also, I notice that my hero Pat Buchanan -- who would take this quote out of context and rave about it for days -- is seldom seen at MSNBC.
I am fairly sure this is because of my emails.
(KIDDING!)
