Does McCain's age make VP more important?

Usually, people don't vote for the vice president, but given McCain's age, a vote for McCain may well be a vote for his ticket mate.

It would be my hope that we can start discussing McCain, and get off the fight within the democratic party. We KNOW he's the republican nominee. It's a very good be that Obama will be the dem's nominee, barring something really strange happening.

McCain, during his questioning of Petraus, seemed to have a problem keeping track of who's who in Iraq. I suppose this is possibly due to some kind of short memory loss, much like my mom suffered.

If this is the early onset symptoms of this kind of thing, related to his age, he may not finish a term.

Something to think about.

Most Americans do not care about the nuances of Islamic faith. They know McCain will kick the shit out of somebody if they fuck with us.

First off McCain never kicked the shit out of anyone, he was a navy flier. Fight/bomber pilots very often have very different perspectives conscerning war than ground forces do. They very often don't understand the hardships of war. Granted, McCain was shot down and spent several years as a P.O.W. but I am not exactly sure what sorta lessons McCain gained from that. I find it very telling that McCain isn't willing to sign onto the new G.I. Bill. Perhaps he has same concerns as the White House; "that giving soldiers such an strong incentive to leave the armed forces would result in low retention rates."

Quit with the false macho bullshit, all your chickenhawk heroes do is write checks that someone else has to cash.

Dont you know that false macho bullshit is part of being a chicken hawk. And EMan is one proud chicken hawk. You don't have to be military in order to manage the military. Moreover, that is how our system is organized. We just don't need chickens when it comes to standing up to islamofascist suicidal girlie fighting punks.

Mr. McCain's choice of vice president will be important on several levels, not the least of which is the very real possibility of having to step in, whether because of death or some mental impairment. That makes Mr. Romney's George Bush the First style sniffing of the Presumptive Nominee crotch all the more disturbing.

As long as it keeps us from being attacked in the homeland, I can go for it. Sign me up Johnny Baby. Eman would gladly be a general in your Air Force.

Yes, I think his choice of running mate will probably be important, or at least, his running mate will undergo more scrutiny than Obama's or Clinton's would. It won't effect my vote, because I wouldn't vote for McCain anyway, but for people who are on the fence, they will have to consider the probability that McCain's VP will be stepping into the top spot before the first term is over.

Of course your logic is sound but it is an illogical world we live in when people commit suicide to kill others. One must be counterintuitive in such circumstances and nobody is better at that than Bush/Cheney/McCain. Regardless, the proof is in the pudding. We have not been attacked again and that is a very good thing. So SOMEBODY must be doing something right.

We, incooperation with Israel, need to take out any nuclear capability Iran is developing and I would not care if we took Saudi Arabia. It would lower gasoline prices.
