Clinton Rally Expects 100 Mayors To Show > Only 19 Actually Show

Bwhaahaahaaa

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Turnout at the "100 Mayors for Hillary" rally was a little under 20 percent.

Only 19 mayors of Pennsylvania cities showed up for Tuesday's rally in the Rotunda of the Pennsylvania Capitol. Other mayors' names were listed on placards supporting Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Harrisburg Mayor Stephen Reed spoke for the group against the backdrop of a banner touting the 100 mayors. He criticized Clinton's rival, Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, for saying at a San Francisco fundraiser last week that some voters in small towns in Pennsylvania cling to guns or religion because of their frustration over their economic circumstances.

Reed called Obama's comments "divisive and condescending."

"Small-town values are the bedrock of American values," Reed said.

Kathleen Strand of the Clinton campaign said rally organizers never expected all 100 mayors to attend and that some were participating in Clinton events in their home cities.

But an Obama campaign spokesman said participation in the rally is "about the same percentage of voters who actually care about this story."

"Voters are hungry to get this campaign back on who can create jobs and lower the cost of health care," said the spokesman, Sean Smith.

I apologize for being too distracted right now to do the google, but I think Ed Rendell is getting sick of her -- or sick of being embarrassed by her. I saw or heard him several times yesterday making it very
clear that Pennsylvania Democrats would unite behind Obama were he to get the nomination.

I think he wishes he had backed Obama. He is a loose cannon and yesterday said that the bittergate was no big deal and would only affect Obama by a point or 2. I'm sure Hillary was pissed he didn't make a big stink out of it.

Health-care could be cheaper if medical procedures were not so difficult and complex. If any idiot can perform the equivalent of surgery, all those years of schooling would be worthless.

give Rendell credit.
He is a Party man. He knows a Dem. in the White House is necessary, even if it's not his first choice.

Recall that Rendell only won PA in the first place by winning the cities and the 16 surrounding counties. He can probably kiss his political machine goodbye now. He only existed because of the black vote ---and he has lost that with his racist remark.

All procedures are not that complex. Surgery honestly does not make up that much of healthcare and the costs for all surgery in the USA major and minor does not equal the amount of money being spent to administrate the system.
